Absolutely incredible performance from Geoff Roes at the annual Mountain Masochist 50, Geoff won the race in 6:27:55 and set a new course record, breaking Dave Mackey's record by over 20 minutes. He'd never run the course before and considers 50 mile a bit short for him.

Congratulations to Geoff Roes named 2009 Ultrarunner of the Year by Ultrarunning Magazine, recognizing an absolutely incredible season with four CR on the five races he completed during the year.

Uli Steidl was the winner at annual The North Face 50, setting a new course record. Just 7 minutes behind Steidl, Geoff Roes came in for a strong 2nd place finish, having spent most of the race head to head with Steidl.
