Duncan Callahan won the 28th annual Leadville Trail 100 in a time of 17:43:24. Callahan assumed the lead a couple of miles before Mae Queen aid station, mile 86.5, where Anton Krupicka, dropped for medical reasons while leading from the early stages.

Anton Krupicka broke his own course record at the White River 50 which hosted this year's USATF 50 mile championship. 19 years old phenom Dakota Jones placed 2nd, becoming the third fastest runner ever on the course behind Krupicka and Steidl.
